At your fingertips and on our doorstep
Whether you’re here for a relaxing getaway in the quiet countryside,
or an action-packed adventure exploring the Yorkshire Dales,
we have all you need to make the most out of your stay.
At our B&B
Swallows Nest B&B has just undergone a complete refresh, and all our rooms come equipped with all the home comforts you’d expect – WiFi, in-room tea and coffee making facilities, USB charging points, mini fridges, TVs, and more. If you are looking for something specific, we’ll do our best to make sure it’s available to you.

Dining
Our unbeatable breakfasts at Swallows Nest are served daily in our dining room. Delicious continental breakfasts are available every day, at any time, or enjoy a cooked breakfast Saturday and Sunday. There is something for everyone, including those with special dietary requirements.

Cosy comfort
Winter in the Yorkshire Dales can be a magical time. Spend your days hiking the trails, braving the elements, then come inside and cosy up by the open fire. Ask us about our festive season packages for a truly magical Christmas staycation.

Ensuite bedrooms
Each of our four bedrooms at Swallows Nest B&B have their own bathrooms. Three have ensuite bathrooms and one has its own bathroom across the hallway. We provide complimentary Miniml toiletries, fluffy white towels, and bathrobes for that little bit of luxury.

In the area
There is no shortage of things to see and do all year round in the Yorkshire Dales. Snow covered peaks in winter, beautiful colours as seasons change, rolling green fields, never ending limestone caves, local markets and award winning pubs to name a few. If you need any advice on where to go and what to see, we’re happy to help.

Ingleborough Caves
The 450 million year old limestone caves of Ingleborough are indeed one of the UK’s natural wonders, and a must see. From Swallows Nest B&B, it’s a short walk to the start of the Ingleborough Estate Nature trail that leads to the cave entrance.

Three Peaks
With the wide open spaces of the Yorkshire Dales stretched out before you, it is difficult not to feel a shift in your perspective. The ever changing colours of the moors and hills are a photographer’s dream.

Award winning pubs
There is an abundance of top quality pubs with five miles of Swallows Nest B&B. Clapham’s very own New Inn is a stone’s throw from our front door. Alternatively, the Game Cock Inn and the Highwayman are also nearby. We would be more than happy to arrange a drop off and pick up for you.

Settle-Carlisle Railway
Take in the incredible engineering of the Ribblehead viaduct. There aren’t regular steam train journeys across the viaduct, but keep your eye out for special steam excursions through Rail Advent.
